THE PRINCIPAL ELECTORAL ROLL

The principal electoral roll

10. (1) The electoral roll prepared under the Elections (Registration of Electors) Regulations 1971 [P.U. (A) 326/1971], the Elections (Registration of Electors) Regulations (Sarawak) 1971 [P. U. (A) 327/1971] and the Elections (Registration of Electors) Regulations (Sabah) 1971 [P.U. (A) 328/1971] and certified by the Election Commission on or before 31 December 2001 become the principal electoral roll under these Regulations.

(2) For the purposes of revision, the Registrar shall, every three months, prepare a list of the names of electors from the principal electoral roll who have died or have become disqualified for registration and the Registrar shall update the principal electoral roll by deleting the names of electors who have died or have become disqualified for registration.
